CRMs where the outcome gets recorded.
CRMs hold the contacts, deals and call history an outbound team works from. See how the CRMs on this list handle calling and what they say about phone data, from each vendor's own pages.
A CRM stores your contacts, the deals attached to them and a record of every conversation. For a calling team it is where a list lives after it has been built and where the outcome of each call is written back.
Some CRMs include calling. Others connect to a dialer. What matters for a team that calls is how a list gets in, how a call gets logged and how a field like the outcome can sit on the contact record.
Calling built in or not
Check whether the CRM places calls itself or only logs calls made elsewhere.
Custom fields
Look for support for custom fields, since that is where outcomes such as a High chance or Low chance result are stored.
Imports and exports
Check how lists are imported and how large a file it accepts.
Pricing

Send your call list and every contact comes back High chance, Low chance or Bad data, with the best way to reach them. Use it before you dial so reps spend their dials on people who pick up.

Frequently asked questions
It stores contacts, the deals attached to them and every call outcome. For a calling team it is where a built list lives and where reps write back what happened on each call.
If the CRM supports custom fields, yes. Check the contacts, then import the result into a field on each record. Reps and managers can then filter views by High chance, Low chance or Bad data before they call.
A CRM mainly stores the numbers you give it, and the vendor pages we read do not describe checking that a number is reachable. Do not assume a stored number still works, and check the list before it goes in.
Not always. Some CRMs place calls themselves, while others log calls from a separate dialer. A built-in option keeps call results on the record. A separate dialer may add dialing modes the CRM lacks, so check what each CRM lists.
The ones we list charge per user each month, and features such as dialers or call recording often sit on higher tiers. Some have a free plan with limits. Compare what your reps need on the tier you would actually buy.
Look for custom fields, easy list imports, call logging, saved views and a mobile app. Then test it by importing a real list and logging a few calls the way your reps would.
Check the contact limit, import file size, API access, who owns the data when you leave and how much each extra user costs. Ask whether your dialer already has a connector.
Moving contacts is usually the easy part. Moving history, fields and automations takes longer. Export your data first, map fields before importing, and run both systems side by side for a short time.
Importing duplicates, leaving phone fields unlabeled so reps cannot tell mobile from office, and never recording why a call failed. Messy fields make every later list worse.
Add a field for the check result, with High chance, Low chance and Bad data (a single-select where the CRM allows it, otherwise text), and a date field for when it was checked. Then filter call lists on that field.
