What is Close?
Close is a CRM for sales teams that make a lot of calls. Calls, texts and email happen inside the lead record, and a call list is a saved Smart View that the dialer works through in order.
Where most CRMs need a separate dialer, Close has its own. The power dialer calls the next lead when a call ends, and the predictive dialer places several calls at once and connects a rep when a person answers.
Who it’s for
Close is for sales teams whose day is mostly calls: small and mid-size outbound teams, or agencies and search firms that work a list every day. Because the dialer lives inside the CRM, a call list is just a saved Smart View, and what happened on each call is already on the lead when it ends. If you would rather have one tool than a CRM plus a separate dialer, this is the shape of it.

Where Close fits in your calling
In Close the call list is a Smart View that the dialer works through, and what is in that view decides who your reps call. Checking the list before the leads go in lets the High chance contacts be the ones in the calling view, instead of everyone with a number.

Frequently asked questions
Close is a sales CRM built around calling, email and SMS. Calls, texts and email happen inside the lead record, and activity is logged there with AI call summaries and transcripts. A call list is a saved Smart View that the dialer works through in order.
Yes, two. The power dialer calls the next lead when a call ends, and the predictive dialer places several calls at once and connects a rep when a person answers. Its pricing page lists the power dialer on Growth and Scale, and the predictive dialer on Scale only.
Its pricing page lists per user, per month prices: Solo $9, Essentials $35, Growth $99 and Scale $139. Calling and SMS are usage-based and billed on top of the seat price, and the cheaper plans do not include either dialer.
Per its pricing page, there is a 14-day trial and it needs no credit card. The page does not say which plan the trial covers, so check that before you test the dialers, which are listed on Growth and Scale.
A call list is a Smart View, a saved filter that updates itself. Close's guide shows filtering by lead status, time since the last call, pending tasks and local time, so recently called leads and leads outside calling hours can be kept out of the dialer's queue.
Use Import data and upload a .csv (up to 15MB per file) or an Excel file. Close maps columns to lead fields and custom fields, lets you choose how matches with existing leads are handled and shows errors in the importer before you finish. A column headed custom.<field name> is assigned to a custom field.
Its integrations page lists Gmail, HubSpot, Calendly, Zoom, Zapier, Make, Clay, Claude, ChatGPT, Fivetran and WhatsApp, among others. Because the dialers are part of the CRM, call results land on the lead without a separate sync.
No native link exists. The check sits either side of the import: run the CSV through Will This Person Answer before it goes into Close, or export a Leads Smart View, check it and import it again. Only US phone numbers are checked, and 250 contacts are free with no card.
Upload the CSV to Will This Person Answer first and keep the outcome column. Name that column custom.Answer outcome so Close assigns it to a custom field, and pick a comparison field such as company name so existing leads are matched instead of duplicated.
Export a Leads Smart View as CSV. Close's export guide says export works from a Leads Smart View only, not Contacts, and the download link arrives by email. The lead export lists a primary contact's phone, so confirm which numbers it holds. Check the file, then import it again with a comparison field so matches update, and build a calling Smart View that uses the outcome field.
