RingCentral vs Nextiva: which is right for you?
Features, pricing and fit, compared from a cold calling point of view. Not affiliated with either tool.
RingCentral and Nextiva are both cloud business phone and contact center platforms rather than purpose-built sales dialers. RingCentral sells RingEX for everyday business calling and RingCX for outbound dialing at volume. Nextiva bundles voice, texting and video on its small business plans and lists progressive and predictive dialing on its Professional contact center plan. This page sets out what each vendor says on its own site, and where a page is silent we say so.

Frequently asked questions
Nextiva publishes more. Its pricing page lists Core at $15, Engage at $25 and Scale at $75 per user per month, though it also shows higher struck-through prices. RingCentral's pricing page text showed no per-plan dollar prices, only add-ons from $25 to $60. Get a quote from both for your user count.
Neither is a sales dialer first. RingCentral lists outbound dialing under RingCX, its contact center product, and its standard business phone is built for everyday calling. Nextiva lists progressive and predictive dialing on its Professional contact center plan. Confirm with each vendor which product fits a dialing session.
RingCentral lists a 14-day trial for new subscribers, with up to 20 phone lines and no SMS during the trial. Nextiva's pricing page does not describe a free trial. It offers a demo with no credit card required, plus a switching offer whose terms the page does not list.
Both do. RingCentral records on demand or automatically for chosen users or departments, with online playback, downloads and transcripts, and says recordings are kept up to 90 days. Nextiva's home page lists recording, transcription and AI summaries. Neither page states which plans include recording, so check before you buy.
RingCentral says it has over 600 pre-built integrations and names Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, Google Workspace, ChatGPT and Claude. Nextiva names Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Zendesk and ServiceNow. Both mention open APIs. Check what syncs back to the record in your CRM.
Nextiva shows entry prices for its small business plans, which makes a small team easier to budget for. RingCentral says it serves businesses from small companies to Fortune 1000, and offers a trial with up to 20 lines. Neither page says anything about a minimum seat count, so ask each vendor.
Both bundle texting, video meetings and team chat with voice. RingCentral also lists AI Receptionist, AI Virtual Assistant and AI Conversation Expert. Nextiva's contact center plans add chat, email, routing and reporting across channels. We have only the vendors' own pages to go on, so we cannot say how well either works.
No. Neither has a native integration, so you check the contacts first by CSV, API or MCP, then load the High chance contacts into your calling campaign. US phone numbers only, and the first 250 contacts are free with no card required.
Export your list as a CSV, run it through the check, and keep the High chance rows. RingCentral's own documentation covers imports, and RingCX is the outbound dialing product. For Nextiva, see its documentation or ask its team, since neither vendor page we read gives import steps.
Send Low chance contacts a text or an email instead of a call. Both RingCentral and Nextiva include business texting. Keep Bad data contacts out of the calling session so no agent time or dial attempts go to them.
Know who’ll answer
before you call.
Ask your AI tool who on your list will pick up. Every contact comes back High chance, Low chance or Bad data, with the best way to reach them.
No card required. US phone numbers only.
