The short answer
Here is who each of SignalHire and Wiza suits best, from what each vendor says on its own site.
- You want a free plan to test on a few people, since SignalHire lists 5 contact retrievals with no card, plus 10 credits a month with the browser extension.
- You want one lookup to return the emails and phone numbers it holds for a profile, with credits charged only when something is found.
- You work in recruiting and sync into an ATS, since SignalHire names Zoho Recruit and Recruitee next to Salesforce and Pipedrive.
- You want bulk runs of up to 1,000 people or companies and a Person API that looks up by profile URL, email or phone.
- You want published plan prices, since Wiza lists $49, $99 and $199 per user per month and $990 or $1,990 per user a year.
- You want contact data checked at the time you request it, which is how the Wiza site describes its approach.
- You expect to reveal a lot of phone numbers, since the annual Email + Phone plan lists unlimited phone reveals.
- You want company details such as revenue, funding and headcount returned with each prospect.

Frequently asked questions
Wiza publishes its prices, from a $49 per user monthly Starter plan to $1,990 per user a year for Email + Phone. SignalHire lists plans and a free tier, but its pricing page does not make credit counts clear for every plan. Get current figures from both before comparing cost.
Yes. SignalHire's free plan needs no card and allows 5 contact retrievals, or 10 credits a month with the browser extension installed. Wiza's free plan includes 20 valid emails and 5 phone numbers, and its site also offers 25 free credits with no card.
SignalHire says one credit returns all available contacts for a profile, charged only on a successful result, and it separates email and phone plans. Wiza charges $0.35 for extra phone numbers on its monthly plans and lists unlimited phone reveals on the annual Email + Phone and Team plans.
SignalHire lists a Person API for lookups by profile URL, email or phone, and a Search API for filtering people and companies. Wiza's pricing page lists API access only on its custom Team plan, which is billed annually and starts at 3 users.
Both name recruiting as a use. SignalHire lists Recruiting as one of its two solutions and syncs to ATS tools such as Zoho Recruit and Recruitee. Wiza lists Recruiting among its solutions too, but its site does not name which systems it syncs with.
Both say so. SignalHire returns direct dials and personal and work phone numbers, and claims phone coverage for up to 80 percent of people. Wiza lists direct dials and mobile numbers. Both are vendor claims we have not tested, so run a sample of your own list through each.
SignalHire names Salesforce, Zoho Recruit, Pipedrive, Recruitee and ActiveCampaign, and falls back to CSV export. Wiza has a Chrome extension and CRM sync, but its site does not name the CRMs. If a particular CRM matters, ask Wiza before you buy.
No. Both return contact details and neither gives a signal on whether a line is active or likely to pick up. Will This Person Answer checks that for US phone numbers only, so a found number can be sorted before anyone dials it.
Neither connects to Will This Person Answer natively. Export a CSV from SignalHire or from a saved Wiza list, upload it here, and the first 250 contacts are free with no card. Each contact comes back High chance, Low chance or Bad data.
Call High chance contacts first. Email Low chance contacts before calling, since both tools return emails too. Leave Bad data out of the call list, and on Wiza skip further phone reveals for those people, since a reveal can cost money whether or not anyone answers.
