The short answer
Here is who each of Cognism and ZoomInfo suits best, from what each vendor says on its own site.
- You sell into Europe, since Cognism's site positions it for the European market.
- Verified mobiles are the priority, since Cognism markets phone-verified mobiles as Diamond Data and its Pro tier adds on-demand verification.
- Do-Not-Call coverage matters to your reps, since Cognism's site says its data includes extensive Do-Not-Call coverage.
- You want one large database of contacts and companies, with direct dials and phone numbers listed in its own sales page.
- You want buyer intent and website visitor data in the same platform as the contact search.
- You run Salesforce, HubSpot or Microsoft Dynamics 365 and want native CRM integrations, plus a Dialer Automation category with 22 integrations.

Frequently asked questions
Neither publishes prices. Cognism's pricing page lists Standard and Pro tiers and a route to sales, with one credit per revealed contact. ZoomInfo's pricing page says cost depends on features, licenses and credit usage, with one credit per profile export. You need a quote from each.
The records do not settle it. Cognism describes a European specialty, and nothing we read says how complete its US mobile coverage is. ZoomInfo's pages do not describe regional coverage either. Test a sample list from both before you commit.
Cognism. It markets phone-verified mobiles as a headline feature, and says they go through extra verification. ZoomInfo lists direct dials and phone numbers among its data, but the pages we read do not describe a separate mobile verification step.
No. Cognism's verification is a claim about the number when it was checked, and ZoomInfo's pages say numbers exist in the database. Neither page says how likely a person is to pick up, which is a separate question.
ZoomInfo's pricing page shows a free trial option for its sales plans. The Cognism pricing page we read does not mention one, only the tiers and a route to talk to sales. Ask Cognism directly if a trial matters.
Both charge by credit. Cognism says one credit equals one revealed contact. ZoomInfo says each contact or company profile export costs one credit. Narrow your search before you reveal or export either way.
Both list Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesloft and Outreach in some form. Cognism also lists Pipedrive, Bullhorn and Zapier. ZoomInfo also lists Marketo and Snowflake. Both offer an API and an MCP server. Check each integrations page for what syncs.
No. Neither has a native integration. You export a CSV of the contacts and upload it, or send the rows to the API. Only US phone numbers are checked, and the first 250 contacts are free with no card required.
Search and reveal contacts in Cognism, or build a Contact search in ZoomInfo, then export a CSV. Column names depend on your plan and both help centers need a login, so check the file itself. Upload it and check the mobile column. Non-US rows are skipped and not charged.
Load High chance contacts into your dialer or the Salesloft or Outreach sequence you use. Keep Low chance contacts for multi-channel sequences, and send Bad data to email and LinkedIn, so no dial time is spent on it.
